It was hell getting the day organised but it was worth every bit of it! Birmingham Children’s Hospital was the venue and they certainly did us proud! Registration was in the conservatory (with bacon rolls, croissants, tea and coffee) and delegate packs were given out to everyone.

We had a great time and Jordan had been looking forward to this trip for weeks, the party for the children the evening before at the hotel was great , all the children received a present .
On arrival at the airport in Finland you cross over the road to a hanger were you are all provided with snow suits , once you are changed you then go on a 40 minute skido ride to Lapland and yes it is very cold.

The last quarter of 2001 was very hectic for Groups associated with Paediatric Heart Services as it saw the lmination of the Review of Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Services following many months of hard work.
Children’s Heart Federation co-ordinated the valuable input from users of the service (both users and their families) which kicked off with the Conference on 15th September at Regent’s College, Regents Park.
