"The East Yorkshire MG Car Club held their annual Wolds Way car run on Sunday 8 May 2016. As well as being a social run, the event raises money for charity and the two nominated were Yorkshire Air Ambulance and MaxAppeal. Approximately 70 cars entered and set off on a 110 mile run from the sponsors, Maple Garage, Sproatley.
Participants were able to browse the latest MG's being sold as well as having bacon butties and refreshments before setting off. The route took in beautiful countryside and places like Hornsea, Atwick, Rudston, Sledmere, Millington, the Roman Road to Ferriby and then the Humber Bridge to finish at the Pier in Hull. There were plenty of ice-cream/coffee shops on the route and places to stop for a picnic. This is the second year that a raffle has been held for MaxAppeal and some people are remembering us when we speak to them about it. We raised £240 this year and hopefully spread the word a little bit further.'
